With the aim of adding value to and sharing knowledge about the Archivio Storico Civico e Biblioteca Trivulziana's book and document collection, the Institute promotes or supports projects, often in collaboration with other organisations.
Since 2008 the Archivio Storico Civico e Biblioteca Trivulziana has supported ManusOnLine (http://manus.iccu.sbn.it), the census of manuscripts in the possession of Italian libraries - organised by the Istituto Centrale per il Catalogo Unico, by providing catalogue cards directly describing the Archive and Library's manuscripts. Almost all the descriptive catalogue cards are accompanied by a selection of images and where possible the entire digitised codex from the GraficheinComune® database is available via a link at the foot of the cards on ManusOnLine.
GraficheinComune®, a virtual library of book graphics and illustrations concerning the City of Milan (http://graficheincomune.comune.milano.it/GraficheInComune/ ), is a search engine that was designed and studied as a public service that allows access to a database of over 50.000 images of the artistic heritage of the City of Milan.
Of particular interest for research in the field of manuscripts is the complete digitalisation of over 50 codices from the Archivio Storico Civico e Biblioteca Trivulziana, currently contained in GraficheinComune®.
A link to the descriptive catalogue card contained in ManusOnLine which allows for instant access to an adequate selection of scientific information, has been provided by GraficheinComune® for each fully digitised manuscript.
