The Archivio Storico Civico e Biblioteca Trivulziana is a cultural Institute that belongs to the City of Milan. It specialises in the conservation, protection and development of its collections. The Institute is a resource for research and teaching focusing on the history of Milan, the history and literature of Renaissance humanism, Italian philology, studies of Dante and Petrarch, the history of miniatures, the history of books, printing and binding techniques.
The general goal of protecting and developing this heritage is pursued through regular, temporary exhibitions, and conferences centred on disciplines relating to books and written culture.
